If any of you have ever visited my timeline @iammcjin you may have noticed me insert #nofanzone in some of my tweets.

Since I’ve started doing so, I’m regularly asked “What is the No Fan Zone?”

I usually reference people to watch this interview of mine from last summer. Kristie from MYXtv was visiting Hong Kong from the states and extremely  adamant about meeting up to do an interview in order to find out what I’ve been up to. I hope she didn’t regret it afterwards..

To her credit, she was extremely professional and I thank her for her patience as she sat thru the near half hour (23 minutes) of me touching on topics ranging from my career in Hong Kong to newfound faith and how it’s influenced me from a creative aspect.

I recommend you watch this under two conditions. One, if you would really like an in-depth look into where my mindset is these days regarding my career journey and life in general. Two, if you have absolutely, positively nothing better to do. It is 23 minutes. I understand in Youtube video time, that’s like 60 years. The choice is yours.

Dear reader, please do not be mislead by the subject line.  I’m as far from Anti-Lin as it gets..

I’m just saying  it might be good to take a moment and readjust the spotlight just slightly to acknowledge some of the figures who have played a key role in this Linderella Story according to the man himself.

This post is not about John Michael Montgomery. In fact, with all due respect, I’ve never even heard of him. I googled Brand New Me images and he was the first to pop up in the results. Props to him for that. Looks like a nice fella..

Why am I interested in the phrase Brand New Me you ask? (You notice it’s in the title header of my blog as well..)
